Hi everyone,

I'm looking for the pinout of the 5-pin mini-DIN MIDI connectors on the SCC-1 card. Pinouts I found on the net are either indefinite or obviously wrong. Any help appreciated.

Never mind, I figured it out.

Here is a diagram how to make a DIY SCC-1 MIDI cable:

Image shows the male plugs on both ends of the cable. Pins marked in red are for cable shielding.

Disclaimer: Use this at your own risk. If you build the cable, and it sets your SCC-1 or your 3000$ keyboard on fire, I cannot be held responsible Roll Eyes

Nice, but according to the standard MIDI connector pinout, only a MIDI IN port uses two pins, 4 & 5 on the DIN.  A MIDI OUT or THRU cable needs three, 2, 4 & 5.  So 4 & 5 are always connected, but which pin on the mini-DIN corresponds to 2?

Updated the diagram with marks for the pins used for cable shielding. According to specs it should only be connected on the MIDI-OUT end of the cable. In most cases it won't matter, since MIDI-IN ports usually leave the shield pins unconnected.
