MT-32 Issues with Conquests Of Camelot

In trying to play back MT-32 MIDI using CM-500 Mode B in Conquests Of Camelot, the first note seems to be playing forever repeatedly and freezing the game.  The odd thing is that turning off the CM-500 results in the game going back to normal -- and this is not a problem with playing MT-32 MIDI in any of the QFG games or the KQ games I have, or for that matter any other game I have that plays MT-32 MIDI.  Just curious if anyone else has run into this and if so, how you were able to fix?

What MIDI interface do you use to connect the MT-32 to the computer? Also Could it be some file is corrupt in the CoC game files?

Thanks very much for the helpful reply Ari.  In response to your questioin about the MIDI connection to the PC, I am using a true MPU-401/AT (with connected SCB-55 daughterboard, but the the SCB-55 is not currently being used), connected to a CM-500.  Since CoC is the only game so far that seems to have an issue with CM-500 Mode B, as you had suggested, I will check and see if re-installing the game helps in case there iare any corrupted game files.
